My favorite city to shop in is

Anna Jagodzinska: London and New York City (that’s where I live, so it’s easiest for me to find the time to shop there), but when I travel for work and have a day off, I absolutely love to wander and look for great shops. Like the last time I was in Australia, I was staying in Bondi Beach and fell absolutely in love with Aquabumps gallery.

What is your favorite district in that city?

Anna Jagodzinska: In NYC I love Tribeca, Soho, Upper East Side and Upper West Side. In London – Chelsea and Shoreditch.

What are your five must-hit stores in that city?

In NYC – Roberta Roller Rabbit, ABC Home and Carpet, Evolution,  Birchbox, MoMA Design Store, Alessi, Bergdorf Goodman and Fivestory.

My favorite wardrobe item to shop for is

Shoes and jewelry!

Do you shop alone or with someone?

I like shopping alone. I’m the type of person that knows what is looking for when it comes to shopping.

It might also happen spontaneously when on a walk with a friend. That’s when I can let myself spend more time and pick up something I wasn’t necessarily looking for.

Who is your favorite designer?

I adore Maria Grazia Chiuri, Pierpaolo Piccioli, Valentino Garavani, Karl Lagerfeld, John Galliano, Azadine Alaïa, and many many more! I also love picking up unknown jewelry designers.

What do you read for style inspiration: magazines or blogs?

I like British Vogue, Porter magazine and also Moda Operandi website.

How do you fuel a day-long shopping spree (i.e. iced coffee, caffeinated jelly beans)?

I would definitely go for ice coffee and then green tea or tumeric blend tea from Ground Support café in Soho.

What was your best shopping purchase EVER?

I try to shop  for classic everlasting clothes and shoes. I adore classic Chanel bag that goes with anything. And I love my latest Dior flats 😉 I admire classic look: jeans and white shirt with great flats, a piece of jewelry and a  good handbag. And I must say perfumes – my latest find I’m obsessed with is Kilian – especially their travel mini bottles.

Do you have any of your own shopping tips to share?

Invest in great quality statement pieces as they really flatter the body. And buy travel size perfumes! 😉

I'm Bogusia - founder of ShopTrotter and Age_Concept Blog I kind of like fashion - meaning: I like to look good, but spending too much time shopping is something that makes me feel overwhelmed. Besides of that - I have a walk-in closet full of wonderful stuff that I use once in 1-2 years... I know, it's outreagous! So I decided to start the Instagram account and try to reuse pieces I own for a long time, without compromising on fashion and style. My new motto is to re-create and re-cycle, instead of buying new stuff over and over. Now I shop consciously - buying only the items that complement my other clothes.
